System Performance Checking

System Performance Checking

A Home Solar System is only as good as its components. And if any of those components is compromised so the whole system performs below expectations.

While systems vary according to the situation most Home Solar Systems will have the panel on the roof, an inverter to convert DC power to the AC we use in our home, and a battery storage system. Variations on this might be micro-inverters for each panel, or a way to channel power from the grid when needed. If any of these parts of a system is performing under capacity then we risk running low on power, usually late at night.

Batteries

These are essential for providing the energy when the Sun isn't shining. There can be problems if the battery isn't holding enough power, or if the system isn't charging the battery correctly. There can also be a problem if the battery isn't big enough for our needs, so we end up draining it too quickly.

We can make sure that the battery is operating correctly and being properly charged by the rest of the system.

Inverters

The inverter takes the DC power from your Solar Panels and converts it to the AC power used in the home. Modern Inverters also monitor and charge the battery.

Inverter monitor systems can indicate faults in the rest of the Solar Power System. They will show if the battery is not being full charged, or if the panels are putting out less energy than expected. Sometimes the inverter itself can have issues, with corrosion on wires and terminals; sometimes the inverter is under spec for the rest of the system

We can make sure your inverter is doing its job, so your home has the power it requires.

Is your Home Solar Power System underperforming? We can get the best out of the system, or upgrade it to suit your needs.

Our maintenance will ensure optimal performance for your Solar Power System.
